Must ensure quality patient scheduling, positive telephone etiquette and customer satisfaction in support of the mission of Cooper University Hospital. Serve as the front line contact person for all incoming patients. Greet, register, schedule, collect point of service copays and provide general information to patients and their families using AIDET. Must have the ability to be organized, take independent action and project Cooper&#8217;s values to both customer and co-workers. Serves as patient&#8217;s non-clinical navigator during discharge coordination &#xa0; &#xa0; Briefly explain the job&#8217;s overall objective: Greets patients and guests utilizing AIDET while providing an individualized excellent patient service experience. &#xa0;Provides patient support and keeps informed of delays. &#xa0;Takes appropriate action including offering alternatives. &#xa0; &#xa0; Performs all registration functions including full registration as well as updating/validating demographics, identification, insurance information and completing verification and obtaining signatures. &#xa0;Performs and documents patient outreach for messages received in front desk pool, Mychart messaging and confirmation calls. Utilizes kiosks, tablets and other technology to assist patients upon arrival (meet the patient where they are). &#xa0;Requires ability to stand and walk for periods of time depending on location for two to eight (2-8) hours per assigned shift. Makes appointments, including follow-up appointments for patients in a high customer service environment in an efficient and timely manner across the healthcare continuum including physician office visits, imaging, and lab post-visit and during patient outreach. Collects co-pays and outstanding balances. Reviews and reconciles cash drawer on daily basis. Accurately and efficiently performs many non-clinical administrative duties, including but not limited to in-basket and telephone communication, documentation in medical record, obtaining reports and medical records, completion of insurance and/or disability forms, precertification and/or authorizations, referrals and workqueues such as patient reg, referrals, etc. &#xa0; Complies with procedures for transcription of orders (radiology and/or scheduling). Performs and documents in a timely and efficient manner patient outreach and call backs for messages received in pool, MyChart messaging and confirmation calls. &#xa0; Fulfills organizational responsibilities as assigned including respecting/promoting patient rights; responding appropriately to emergencies. Successfully communicates with multidisciplinary team members and patients upholding our Mission, Vision and Values and adhering to Code of Ethical conduct. Maintains working knowledge of regulatory standards and is accountable to sustain these standards in daily operations. Requires flexibility and the ability to multitask in a face paced environment and adjust to the patient volume. Overview  The Children&#8217;s Regional Hospital at Cooper University Hospital is a pediatric facility that consists of several units that meet the diverse needs of pediatric patients: Pediatric unit, Pediatric Intermediate unit (PIMU), Pediatric Kostic Infusion Room (PKIR), and Pediatric Intensive Care unit (PICU). We provide care for pediatric patients aged 0 to 18 years. We offer subspecialty services through consultation and referral in areas such as Endocrinology, Genetics, Infectious Diseases, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Gastroenterology, Otolaryngology, Pediatric Surgery, Trauma, and Hematology. The Family-centered rounds are conducted daily with an interdisciplinary care team including physicians, professional nursing services, child life specialists, social services, and nutrition support. All our pediatric units are secured with restricted access for staff, with visitors gaining entry via monitored access. All pediatric patients wear security tags to assure their safety. Our facilities include a teen room, a spacious playroom for younger patients, and a family waiting room. Our Pediatric unit and PIMU have 38-bed capacity. The Pediatric unit is in Kellemen building on South 7th and offers 26 beds. Experience Required 2 years minimum RN pediatrics experience is required. Education Requirements Associates Graduate of NLN accredited School of Nursing. License/Certification Requirements Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse). Overview  Kelemen 10 is a medical-surgical unit that cares for patients who have various needs and disease processes. Both North and South 10 have Telemetry capabilities for our patients. Each side&#xa0; houses 36 patients to a maximum of 72 patients.&#xa0; &#xa0; South 10 has a 12-bed Intermediate Care Unit embedded within the 36-bed unit. INCU has critically care-trained RNs who support the patient&#39;s needs and care for ventilated patients.&#xa0; &#xa0; South 10 also has 2 negative pressure isolation rooms with an anti-room that is used when needed for specific isolation needs.&#xa0;&#xa0; &#xa0; We do multidisciplinary rounds Monday - Friday. All units are staffed by surgical schedulers, patient service representatives, nurses, and GI technicians. Anesthesiology is present for all GI procedures.&#xa0;Nurses rotate between the admission (Pre op), procedure suites, recovery (PACU) and pre-admission testing. They must be familiar with all roles and procedures in the GI Unit. Short Description We are looking for highly resourceful and motivated students to join our Supply Chain Internship Program. &#xa0; The Supply Chain team is dedicated to the management of goods and services in a responsible manner to deliver value for the Health Care System, improve the patient experience and reduce risks to our staff and customers. &#xa0; Supply Chain functions at Cooper are divided into several strategic divisions: &#xa0; The Strategic Sourcing Division is tasked with upstream sourcing assessments of market activity, contract portfolio, and supplier relationships and is responsible for providing proactive recommendations on any upcoming needs for service contract renewals, rebids or RFPs. &#xa0; The Procurement Division is responsible for the purchasing and obtaining of materials, supplies, and equipment necessary for the Health Care System to meet its organizational objectives. &#xa0; The Distribution Division is responsible for performing functions to balance supply and demand through the implementation of technology, workflow processes, and labor management. &#xa0; The Inventory Optimization Division ensures product control is managed efficiently by implementing tools, technology, processes, and techniques to track inventory in real time, forecast demand, set appropriate PAR levels and reorder points, and optimize storage. &#xa0; The Data Management Division collects, organizes, and accesses data to support productivity, efficiency, and decision-making. &#xa0; The intern will partner with team members across all divisions of the Supply Chain to work on a variety of analysis, operational, financial, and practical application projects covering all facets of the healthcare supply chain industry. &#xa0; The internship will give you the opportunity to work on real world problems. You will be involved in the entire lifecycle of the healthcare supply chain ecosystem and will have the opportunity to work with business leaders to define problems and communicate outcomes. &#xa0; The Supply Chain Intern will complete a minimum of 200 hours of participation on site at various locations of The Cooper Health System, working with leaders and team members of the Supply Chain Divisions. Experience Required Currently pursuing a Master&#8217;s or Bachelor&#39;s degree in business, Finance, Supply Chain, Healthcare Administration, or other closely related field with GPA of at least 3.0.
