Advertised Summary Job Description: The candidate will work closely with the Center Director, Director of Translational Research and a team of researchers at the Columbia Center for Children's Environmental Health (CCCEH), Department of Environmental Health Sciences, at the Mailman School of Public Health. The role involves a number of responsibilities as follows: Candidate will assist the Center Director and the Director of Translational Research in providing organizational support to various grant funded projects of CCCEH, including coordinating meetings with investigators, staff and advisors. Candidate will maintain and coordinate the Director of Translational Research's calendar, travel and reimbursements, and assist with the coordinating of workshops, focus groups, subject payments. Candidate will assist the Communications Program Director in the preparation and submission of private grant proposals, tracking progress reports, and correspondence to individual donors and private foundations. Candidate will be a custodian for the Center's Petty Cash accounts which support incentives for study subjects and manage the funds by documenting the day- to day transactions to support subject payment transactions which involves the preparation of check request on a weekly basis to replenish the accounts. Candidate will perform other related duties as assigned. General Minimum Qualifications: Requires a bachelor's degree and at least 1.5 years of related experience or equivalent in education, training and experience. Additional Specific Minimum Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications: Background working with federal or private grants and managing and tracking funds.
