Gannon University’s Morosky College of Health Professions and Sciences seeks a full-time, 12-month faculty member for the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program located at the Erie, Pennsylvania campus to begin January 2020. Teaching track or tenure track is available. Rank will be determined according to University standards at the time of employment. The successful candidate will serve as a liaison between the program and clinical education sites, facilitate ongoing development of clinical education sites and clinical faculty, manage student placement, supervision and assessment, and share responsibility for management of the clinical education program with another DCE. The candidate will also teach courses, participate in course development, advise students, develop and maintain scholarly activities, and participate in service activities to support the University, community, and profession.
Qualified candidates will possess a post-professional doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, DHS, DSc, etc. or ABD) and/or a DPT degree, with a clinical specialization preferred. Additional requirements include greater than three years of clinical experience, three years of clinical teaching as a clinical instructor and/or site coordinator of clinical education. Must be eligible for Pennsylvania state licensure. Qualified candidates will be expected to engage in scholarly activities in keeping with the Boyer Model of Scholarship as is appropriate to their rank and application for tenure and/or promotion. Candidates must be able to support and promote the University’s inclusive Mission, its Catholic identity, and its liberal arts and professional education traditions.
