Essential Functions:
POSITION SUMMARY: The Department of Occupational Therapy at Washington University School of Medicine, Enabling Mobility Center, is seeking to hire a Clinical Research Study Assistant in the St. Louis, MO area. The candidate will work to assist in recruitment and retention of research study participants and will cultivate and facilitate the research participant process.���� PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Recruit and interact directly with a wide range of study participants via phone, email and in person.
- Interview and screen potential study participants.
- Engage in professional, timely and organized communication with participants, research coordinator and research team.
- Cultivate and maintain successful and long-lasting relationships with potential research participants to improve retention into research studies.
- Conduct cold-calls and cold-visits to locations in order to recruit potential participants to enroll in the research studies.
- Ensure the quality of participant data by employing proper quality control procedures and attention to detail.
- Attend all required research study meetings.
- Complete on-going training as needed.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma plus 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in medical environment; some college may substitute for experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Self-starter who is highly motivated and has the ability to self-direct outreach planning and execution.
- Ability to effectively work with participants in a non-judgmental approach and to build rapport and trust.
- Effective communication skills and good customer service skills.

Salary Range:
The hiring range for this position is $15.85 - $19.43 per hour.
