Job Duties: 1.Prepare orders using the North Carolina E-Procurement Service or college purchasing card. 2.Work with vendors to place, process, and troubleshoot orders. 3.Maintain current and accurate order files and fund accounts for library expenditures. 4.Verify invoices for payment; verify accuracy of transactions, manage receipts, add account codes, and sign off. 5.Check-in new acquisitions and update order records. 6.Process and catalog materials for the collection. 7.Update records in the online catalog. 8.Serve as the library's liaison to the Accounts Payable Department in Purchasing and Auxiliary Services. 9.Process discarded materials. 10.Maintain the library reserves collection. 11.Maintain an inventory of office and library supplies and order supplies. 12.Assist with the preparation of reports, inventory, and budget data. 13.Assist patrons in library usage, including computers, printers, copier, and scanner. 14.Assist patrons in using college website and campus technologies including but not limited to Sakai, Self-Service, and Connectmail. 15.Assist with counting and depositing money received from fees, fines, copying, and printing. 16.Manage book donations and maintain Little Free Libraries. 17.Manage work orders for the library building. 18.Assist with library events and programs. 19.Serve on campus committees and councils as assigned. 20.Assume additional duties as assigned by the Library Director, the appropriate Division Head, and/or the President. Essential Functions: The Library Technician, Technical Services is responsible for technical functions such as cataloging, processing, acquisitions, and fund accounting, as well as circulation and basic reference functions at Main Campus Library with the possibility of some work hours on other campuses. Minimum Qualifications: Associate's degree in related field (Library and Information Technology, Accounting, Office Administration) or a bachelor’s degree in any field.
