IS SUPPORT TECHNICIAN II

Summary

Routinely provides hardware and software support to end users. Utilizes procedures and assists in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of various types of equipment. Manages printer / multifunction support contracts for Xerox, HP and Dell units. Assists with upgrades, repairs and migration of telephone / network equipment. Ensures compliance of policies and procedures in regards to information security.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Monitors, researches new procedures, and performs on-site and off-site troubleshooting.
• Repair, and upgrade computers to include interpretation of computer self-diagnostic information, operation of various hardware and software diagnostic test equipment.
• Installation, configuration, and operation of various computer operating systems, initialization of hard drives, backup and recovery of hard drive data.
• Flash BIOS of system board, installation and configuration computer hardware upgrades.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair analog telephone circuits.
• Monitors, researches new procedures, and performs on-site and off-site troubleshooting.
• Repair, and upgrade printer and equipment, performing local and network printer tests, installation of maintenance kits, running printer error logs, testing serial, parallel, and network ports, performing printer self-tests and interpreting error codes.
• Monitors and performs various administrative functions to include providing project status reports.
• Following vendor warranty procedures and utilizing departmental inventory control procedures.
• Manages all printer / multifunction maintenance contracts, ensures machine availability.
• Performs the following core duties: uses, researches, modifies, and helps develop standard references, resource, and procedural materials
• Provides assistance to other staff members to resolve problems.
• Assists in monitoring computer maintenance team work to make sure that all work is accurate and in compliance with departmental or project quality standards.
• Develops high levels of technical skill and knowledge by participating in on-the-job-training, formal education, or other professional development activities.
• Ability to install, terminate, test and troubleshoot category 5e & 6 cabling to required installation standards using various tools and testing equipment.
• Ability to discern color coded wiring and components

           Experienced with power tools

• Basic understanding of AC/DC electronic standards.
• Perform common tasks such as creating login accounts, resetting passwords, deleting inactive accounts, etc.
• Prepare and interpret reports for Antivirus across the corporate network and remediates any issues found.
• Assist in software patch compliance. Monitor WSUS to ensure updates are applied on corporate workstations and remediate any errors with update process.
• Maintains Active Directory users and workstations.
• Manage MFP document workflow; ensuring documents that are electronically captured via bank owned equipment adhere to bank quality standards.
• Responsible for the testing of all branch disaster equipment, such as SRST phone lines and DSL lines used for auto-vpn failover as well as keep accurate documentation of all testing.
• Work with vendor and corporate staff to resolve ATM related issues.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.
