Vanderbilt Health RX Solutions, LLC is a commercial business, wholly owned by Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC). Our primary mission is to build patient-centered, clinically-integrated specialty pharmacy programs in collaboration with health system partners. Founded on the proven success of Vanderbilt University Medical Center's own specialty pharmacy, VHRxS draws on years of experience to help our clients build successful programs of their own. Our dynamic and ever-growing team is currently seeking a Director, Client Relationships/Business Development. This individual will cultivate multi-level relationships with client executives and their C-suite leadership, to identify opportunities and solve client business problems. This position reports to the Vice President of Vanderbilt Health Rx Solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Promote benefits of successful Hospital Owned Specialty Pharmacy model
- Assess market needs and drive the business development process
- Facilitate collaborative client learning process.
- Cultivate and support ongoing client partner relationships
- Develop self- insured employer/PBM/other channel partnerships
- Build robust CRM/opportunity pipeline
- Collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to develop new products and services.
- Participate in industry conferences , forums, etc.
Desired Skills and Requirements:
- Specialty Pharmacy/340B /LDD/Pharmaceutical industry knowledge and experience with buy/build strategies.
- Demonstrated business development skills in complex B2B selling environment.
- Executive level presentation and communication skills
- Able to function in face paced and entrepreneurial environment
- Have a network of specialty pharmacy and channel partners
- Provider/Field sales experience a plus
- Consultative approach, with strong facilitation and problem-solving skills
- Cross functional experience building relationships with internal stakeholders groups ; can build consensus and achieve goals through influence
- Excellent interpersonal/communication skills
- Travel ~ 30%
Qualifications :
5+ years professional work experience in the specialty pharmacy environment, ideally in field sales or national account management
- PharmD from an accredited college/university preferred
- Business and/or Hospital Operations degree
- Master's degree and/or professional certifications preferred
