Position Summary: This position provides functional direction and overall monitoring of the capital programs within Campus Services; researches and evaluates capital regulations; oversees, reports and presents financial data; makes oral and written recommendations to executive staff for informed capital planning; represents the agency to various public, private, and vendor groups; and actively participates in the development of capital program administrative rules and operating policies; supports Facilities Master Plan. Work Unit Description: Campus Services is a large and diverse work unit, which supports Campus Planning & Real Estate,Campus Safety, Design & Construction, Energy Management, Facilities, Logistics, March Wellness, Protocols & Special Events, and Transportation & Parking.
Experience: Five years of experience with responsibility for program or project monitoring and coordination. The experience must have included program evaluation responsibility. Education: A bachelors degree in Business Administration, Management, Public Administration, or a field directly related to the position will substitute for two years of the required experience. Competencies: Attention to detail and accuracy; consistently meets deadlines; excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; ability to work well with Campus Services staff and other department personnel; proficient with computers and advanced experience using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint software (Microsoft Office). EXCEL SKILLS TEST REQUIRED. Experience: Over five years of directly relevant experience. Education: MBA, MHA, MPA or other related graduate degree. Competencies: Prior experience using Oracle (Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Purchasing, iProcurement and Inventory Management modules), IBM Cognos (accessing, manipulating or writing reports), eBuilder, SmartSheets, and/or accounting. Physical Demands: Ability to sit at a computer for long, continuous stretches of time; ability to attend meetings at various locations on Marquam Hill and South Waterfront;ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation.
