Job Summary: The central scheduler uses clinical knowledge to schedule convenient and prompt appointments for outpatient diagnostic testing, clarifying proper diagnosis for that procedure. Communicate with physician offices and patients daily within a call center environment ensuring that accurate information is documented in all computer systems. Complete pre-registration account in the ADT system according to department policy. Ensures the patient knows the proper test preparation, location of site. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned. Qualifications: Education: � High School Graduation or Equivalent. 1 to 2 years experience in medical facility, health insurance and or scheduling, or related area preferred. Six months to a year customer service role. Familiar with call center environment preferred. Some college coursework desirable with strong medical/clinical background.
