Assistant Dean for Diversity, Inclusion, Climate, and Equity - College of Fine Arts-2013852 Description : The College of Fine Arts (CFA) at Carnegie Mellon University invites applications for the position of Assistant Dean for Diversity, Inclusion, Climate, and Equity (DICE). This administrative position within the CFA Office of the Dean is an uncommon opportunity for an individual who, through an intersectional lens, will provide leadership, coordination, consultation, assistance, strategic oversight, vision, and direction in support of the CFA's efforts to create a diverse, equitable and inclusive learning and work environment for all members of its community.
We see this as a highly specialized, hands-on position that is dedicated to increasing awareness and enhancing the capacities of students, staff and faculty to address DICE issues; supporting the schools and units within CFA in developing meaningful and impactful DICE principles, practices, and plans; tracking progress toward these goals; and communicating that progress to an engaged community.
You should be a catalyst for change; be passionate about infusing values around diversity, inclusion, climate and equity into all programs and activities; and be able to work in collaborative and dynamic ways within a complex and diverse environment of faculty, students and staff.

The Assistant Dean for DICE is a salaried, 12-month administrative staff position reporting to the CFA dean and is a member of the senior leadership of the college.
