Position Number: 26304 School/College: School of Health Professions Job Description: The Department of Health Services Administration in the School of Health Professions the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) invites applications for a full time, open rank, tenure-track faculty position. The new faculty member should demonstrate experience in the application of Health Informatics across various healthcare disciplines. Essential job responsibilities included expertise and experience in health informatics as applied to the various elements of data science, user experience, human factors and other related fields that intersect with health informatics. The ideal candidate will have earned a terminal degree in a relevant discipline that qualifies for mentoring students and teaching in our data analytics or user experience tracks of our health informatics graduate programs. Candidates at the rank of Associate professor or above will demonstrate a strong portfolio of research and scholarship. Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
