Seattle Cancer Care Alliance
The Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA), located in Seattle, Washington, is part of a dynamic collaboration among three organizations known nationally and internationally for their patient care and research: Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, University of Washington, and Seattle Children's. Over the past 25 years, these institutions have worked together to support their mission of adult and pediatric oncology patient care services, research and education. Spiritual Health at the SCCA provides relationally-grounded, outcomes-oriented, multidisciplinary, and research-informed chaplaincy care to culturally and spiritually diverse patients, family, and staff, both inpatient (at UW Medical Center) and at multiple outpatient settings. Spiritual Health embraces continuous quality improvement, a culture of learning and engagement, and professional leadership in the oncology and outpatient chaplaincy arenas.
The successful candidate will be committed to ongoing learning and to providing outcomes-oriented, evidence-based chaplaincy care. Care is provided in collaboration with multidisciplinary colleagues in supportive care services. Previous experience in oncology and/or in an academic health care setting is preferred. Work Schedule: This is per diem position. We are anticipating that Chaplain will work at .8 for about 4 months from late April - mid August.
