The Quality Improvement Specialist will be responsible for coordinating and supporting key quality improvement and pay for performance (P4P) programs and activities across the Cedars-Sinai Medical Network. The position will be responsible for ongoing monitoring and analysis of quality measures data as part of the organization's patient outreach and performance improvement efforts and facilitating performance improvement initiatives in alignment with the strategic goals of Medical Network. Will be working closely with other Medical Network departments, Q/PI Project Manager, Manager Population Health Improvement, and Director Quality & PI. This position will perform additional duties as needed to support the achievement of Medical Network population health and clinical quality goals.

• Prepare quality measures resources for physicians, staff, and allied health professionals to support successful documentation and patient outreach initiatives; Work closely with Operations staff to disseminate.
• Collaborate with internal partners (operations, pharmacy, etc.) in facilitating performance improvement activities.
• Provide technical assistance to internal partners to assist with meeting measure requirements (e.g., how to accurately detail exclusions in CS-Link or verify vaccines in the CA Immunization Registry).
• Routinely analyze health plan and internal care gap reports, find opportunities for improvement in accurate data capture, see opportunities for improving quality measures and collaborate with operations and clinical management in identifying and implementing solutions.
• Provide routine updates and respond to inquiries from colleagues, senior management, and regulatory agencies on CSMCF P4P/Value Based Improvement Programs (i.e., HMO and Accountable Care Organization (ACO) programs).
• Prepare quality program audit documents (e.g. policies and procedures and supplemental data).
• Coordinate centralized outreach support activities identifying all vital reports, workflows, and patient lists needed for successful implementation.
• Contribute to the CSMCF Quality Committees including achievement of population health and clinical quality and efficiency goals.
