Assistant Controller
Mercer County Community College
Supervise the payroll and pension reporting and monitoring functions of the college. Prepare financial statements and periodic financial reports of the college; monthly board reports; various work papers in preparation of the college audits; and federal, state and local reports as required.; Analyze and prepare the college’s annual operating and capital budgets. Tasks include: budget development, analysis, account creation, budget transfers, and YTD reporting. Review and approve accounts payable; and unclaimed payroll escheatment to the State.

Baccalaureate degree in Accounting; three to five years of progressively responsible accounting experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Current driver’s license To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Accounting software; ability to learn the college’s ERP mainframe system; Database software; Internet software; Payroll systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. |
