Assistant / Associate Professor Clinical Track Section of Restorative Dentistry Group Practice Director
The University of California Los Angeles, School of Dentistry invites qualified applications for a fulltime Assistant/Associate Professor, clinical track position in the Section of Restorative Dentistry. The faculty position is linked to a functional role as Group Practice Director (GPD), where expertise in general dentistry is essential.
The starting date for this full-time position is May 1 , 2021. The search will remain open until the position has been filled. Applicants must possess: (1) a DMD/DDS degree from an institution accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) or equivalent, and (2) a California dental license in good standing (or be eligible to obtain one).
In addition to the qualifications described above, the applicant should have a minimum of five years in general dental private practice with an outstanding and verifiable record in patient care. The applicant must be willing to continue to exercise the tasks of a general dentist, including patient screening, treatment planning, delivery of care and patient management in a teaching scenario. Teaching experience at a dental school, including management and staff supervision responsibilities, is highly desirable. A track record of scholarly activity is desirable, as well as demonstration of or likely commitment to diversityrelated teaching and service. Familiarity with dental clinical databases and generation of reports is also desirable. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. An opportunity for parttime (one day per week) intramural private practice is also available.
