Job Type/Schedule: This position is full-time and works approximately 40 hours per week. Rotational work on weekends and holidays is required. Department Name/Job Location: This position is in the Department of Comparative Medicine. This position is for the Medical School Campus. Essential Functions: POSITION SUMMARY: Conducts daily rounds to monitor health and provide surgical support and medical treatment for multiple species of laboratory animals. Documents and communicates findings about animal health. Prepares animals for surgery and monitors anesthesia during surgery. Collects biological samples from animals and administer treatments under the supervision of veterinary staff. Conducts work according to departmental SOPs, IACUC policies, and the regulations of the Animal Welfare Act and the Public Health Service. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Salary Range: The hiring range for this position is $15.46 - $20.88 per hour.
