Required Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in the proficient use of excel spreadsheets.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate professionally and effectively with multiple constituents within the university.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects within or in advance of stated deadlines.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and a high degree of motivation is crucial for this role.
• Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.

Preferred Qualifications:

• One to three years of progressive experience with various general ledger accounting duties in a complex organization.
• Knowledge and ability to effectively interpret and apply FASB, GAAP, Federal and State regulations and other applicable accounting standards.
• A motivated problem-solver who will take initiative to identify opportunities for and implementation of business process improvement efforts; this would include the experience or ability to automate processes and create efficiencies.
