PGY1 Community-based Pharmacy Resident
Walgreens and Northeastern University Community-based Pharmacy Residency (PGY1)
The mission of the Walgreens Northeastern University (NEU) Community Pharmacy Residency Program is to develop well-rounded, confident, and innovative community pharmacy practitioners who will advance the profession by providing superior patient care in a financially sustainable manner. To build upon the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) education and outcomes to develop community-based pharmacist practitioners with diverse patient care, leadership, and education skills who are eligible to pursue advanced training opportunities including PGY-2 residencies and professional certifications. The residency program is based at the URAC Accredited Walgreens Community-Based Specialty Pharmacy located in the heart of the Longwood Medical Area in Boston, Massachusetts. This premier pharmacy location offers a variety of clinical pharmacy services for patients who are prescribed complex therapies. The resident will: Participate in unique and innovative models of practice that continue to push healthcare forward
