Job Description Summary:

The Director of Clinical Services functions as the point of contact and representative of the SON for all clinical sites utilized by the campus. The Director of Clinical Services is responsible for establishing and securing the clinical sites needed to implement the clinical component of the nursing programs. The Director of Clinical Services makes clinical site visits during student experiences ensuring all requirements delineated within clinical affiliation agreements are upheld.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Nursing preferred or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Bachelor's degree in nursing with relevant work experience considered.

A minimum of two years as a practicing registered nurse required.

Hold active, unencumbered Michigan Nursing License.

Experience providing administrative support to service areas within the healthcare systems that support nursing student clinical education preferred.

Experience with hiring, clinical coordination and placement, and contract management preferred.

Must be able to problem solve, collaborate with faculty and clinical agencies, and have the ability to relate well and develop working rapport with faculty/staff in the SON, internal department, and with the external healthcare community.

Excellent organizational and analytical skills.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Ability to communicate effectively with others and manage a small team of staff.

Preferred Qualifications:

Nursing education experience/certification preferred.

Previous experience as a part time clinical faculty preferred.
