 As a Retail Accountant your primary mission is to use JD Edwards and Ascend to provide accounting services for our corporate owned stores.  Using your available resources, the help of your teammates and your working knowledge of Ascend and inventory best practices you are the person to provide the retailer with important financial information used in making business decisions.  You’ll go above and beyond to provide the best customer service to everyone that you work with.  So, in addition to your primary job duties, you’ll be called on and encouraged to help in all areas of our business.

Position Responsibilities:

• Perform accounting tasks for Trek owned stores across the US and Canada.
  • Verify accuracy of invoices, match to purchase orders, code and approve store Accounts Payable.
  • Perform reconciliations on bank and credit card accounts.
  • Interpret financial information to make process improvement suggestions.
• Help with all other areas of the business:
  • Review our regular system updates to maintain a working knowledge of our solutions and assist with the creation, review and maintenance of our training and support resources.
  • Assist with logging and prioritization of bugs and enhancements. Provide feedback as requested on development specifications.  Help test new releases as needed.
  • General store support.

Position Requirements:

• Two years of retail accounting experience with the ability to read and comment on Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet reports is required.
• A two year technical degree or higher is required.
• Ideal candidates will have telephone-based customer service experience and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Candidates should have a working knowledge of desktop Windows operating systems and Office programs, specifically Excel.
• Be available to work shifts during our regular hours of 8 am to 5 pm Central Time, Monday through Friday, as well as 1 weekend per month.
• Experience in retail and with retail management systems is a plus.
• Knowledge of JD Edwards or Ascend is a plus.

Global Finance Manager

Trek is looking to add the right person to join our finance team as a Global Retail Finance Manager supporting our expanding Global Retail business.  The right person will have an opportunity to have a meaningful impact not only upon Trek’s finance department, but also upon a great company and rapidly growing part of the business.  Utilizing business intelligence tools and being able to listen, partner and influence a variety of operational partners within our Retail business will be key to success in this role.

Position Responsibilities:

• Provide financial leadership for Trek's Global Retail business; Lead retail finance team and partner with business leaders to drive business performance and assume full P&L responsibility
• Provide oversight and review all financial aspects for global retail stores and retail development teams; full P&L performance, inventory, cash flow, cap ex, and operational metrics
• Drive and provide oversight for forecasting and budgeting processes; review, validate, and productively challenge forecast and budget assumptions
• Drive reporting development and process improvements; drive global standardization across all markets
• Identify trends in key metrics; provide recommendations and partner with managers on implementation
• Ensure proper controllership, policy compliance and balance sheet reconciliations across global retail stores
• Support analysis and implementation of new stores/acquisition of existing stores
• Develop and perform ad-hoc analysis as needed, including ROI analytics for senior management team to evaluate programs/initiatives

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related filed is required
• Advanced level of technical experience with business intelligence tools and Excel reporting capabilities
• 10 years of FP&A, Accounting, or Corporate Finance experience
• Ability to manage the details but also communicate with and influence senior leaders
• Ability to coordinate global schedules and build strong processes; ability to work outside standard business hours as needs dictate
• Self-motivated, organized, analytical and detail oriented
