This position will be part of a dynamic, energetic and collaborative team that supports the organization in the use of data and information to further OHSUs mission to strive for excellence in education, research and scholarship, clinical practice and community service. Members of the Business Intelligence and Advanced Analytics (BIAA) team work to apply knowledge and best practices to assist end users in leveraging BI Tools (Power BI, Cognos, Tableau, etc.) to analyze enterprise data for informed decision making throughout the organization. This position is responsible for providing BI System Engineering, Power BI Reporting / Analytic Development, and System Analysis/Support in the delivery of the Candid project. This will include working with business partners to collect and integrate information across the clinical, research, and educational mission areas and combining that with key administrative information (HR, Payroll, Grants Accounting, etc.). The BI System Engineering responsibilities of this position include working closely with other ITG and BIAA team members to apply advanced technical experience and knowledge to coordinate the development, maintenance and monitoring of complex and critical BI applications. Throughout these efforts a high degree of attention will be required to ensure new applications, code and updates are tested and applied accurately, that security and access are maintained as expected, and that all components of the system perform efficiently and with minimal downtimes. The system engineering responsibilities will be applied to performing Power BI Reporting / Analytic Development tasks by leveraging extensive experience with Microsoft analytic tools to develop solutions and project deliverables. These items will enable members of the organization to efficiently access and analyze integration information for decision making and planning related to critical institutional resources. Throughout the development efforts team collaboration and joint development and knowledge sharing will be critical to the long term success of these efforts. The System Analysis/Support components of the role will include applying effective communication and presentation skills to collaborate with business partners to understand business processes and how the BI systems will support those processes. Ongoing support efforts will work collaboratively with business partners to support the efficient use of the BI systems and to continue to maintain and update these systems to ensure they remain aligned with the evolving organizational needs. Education: Bachelors degree in computer science or related field and eight years of work related experience in the information technology field or a combination of clinical or operational healthcare environments ; OR Associates degree in computer science or related field and nine years of work related experience in the information technology field or a combination of clinical or operational healthcare environments ; OR Ten years work related experience in the information technology field or a combination of clinical or operational healthcare environments ; OR Equivalent combination of education and experience where one year of experience will be substituted for an Associates degree and two years of experience will be substituted for a Bachelors degree.
