Hiring Bonus and Relocation Package Available The OHSU registered nurse (RN) provides compassionate, evidence-based, and efficient care to individuals, families, communities and patient populations. The RNs care delivery is consistent with the Oregon Nurse Practice Act, the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, and the ANA Code of Ethics and meets the standards/expectations of a Professional Practice Model.. In that model, the RN demonstrates the professional role obligations of scientist, leader, practitioner, and knowledge transferor. Professional accountability enriches the RNs engagement as a leader in promoting a inter-professional culture of collaborative decision-making, innovation, life-long learning, and teamwork. As an OHSU VAD Coordinator, you will coordinate the comprehensive specialized care for advanced heart failure patients in both the inpatient and outpatient environment. These patients are candidates for advanced heart failure therapy using MCS/VAD support with the intent of either bridge to transplant or destination therapy. You will also play a vital role in patient evaluation, optimal treatment and follow-up care.
