![]() University of Idaho Executive Director Location: Division/College: Employee Category: Pay Range: Full/Part Time: Executive Director Position Announcement The Western Extension Directors Association (WEDA) is requesting applications from qualified individuals to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of an Executive Director. WEDA is an association which serves the deans and directors of the Extension organizations at each of the Land Grant Universities in the western 13 states and 4 Pacific territories. The Extension system in the western region provides community-based educational experiences and impactful engagement through partnerships with the United States Department of Agriculture and the Association of Land-grant and Public Universities (APLU). The WEDA Executive Director serves the association members through fostering effective communication and engagement among members; strategic advocacy for western Extension interests; and facilitating resource development. The Executive Director is responsible for logistical, clerical, and general administrative support of the association. This is a .75 FTE position. Responsibilities: The WEDA Executive Director is a politically savvy, visionary thought leader who represents the interests of member organizations while serving both the regional and national Extension organizations. Approximately .50 FTE of the .75 FTE of the WEDA Executive Director's efforts will have a Western regional focus, and .25 FTE will focus on the national level, as assigned by the National Executive Director and Administrator Team in support of the National Extension Section and the Extension Committee on Organization and Policy. Activities will include but not be limited to the following: Regional Activities: (.50 FTE) National Activities (.25 FTE): Required Qualifications: Preferred Qualification: As a condition of employment, the successful candidate will have the ability to travel domestically as needed and work on evenings and weekends occasionally.
