Newly hired pharmacy technicians must obtain a valid Michigan Pharmacy Technician License on or before their hire date. This can include a Full Michigan Pharmacy Technician License or a Temporary Michigan Pharmacy Technician License. If a technician obtains a Temporary Michigan Pharmacy Technician License on or before their date of hire, they must obtain a Full Michigan Pharmacy Technician License within 1 year of hire date or before the Temporary Michigan Pharmacy Technician License expires, whichever is sooner, in order to maintain employment. This is a full time position. The schedule for this position includes an evening shift rotation, working every second weekend (Saturday and Sunday), and holiday coverage. You will rotate between the University Hospital (Ann Arbor), the Cardiovascular Center (Ann Arbor) and our newerst facility, Brighton Center for Specialty Care. This position may be underfilled at a lower classification depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate. Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
