General Summary/Overview Statement The Clinical Informatics Project Manager is responsible for managing activities related to clinical content lifecycle including analysis, development, maintenance and tracking for Partners eCare. The Clinical Informatics Project Manager reports to the Clinical Informatics Program Manager and is a member of the Clinical Informatics Team, which consists of the Informatics leadership, Clinician leads, Project Managers and Data Analysts. The project management role supports Clinical Informatics activities as needed for various departments including content, informatics, biomedical device integration and PHS programs. The Project Manager analyzes, develops, documents and tracks clinical content in collaboration with the Partners eCare design, build and implementation teams. The Project Manager collaborates with the Partners eCare design, build and implementation teams to develop and oversee completion of project plans and schedules, and tracks the progress of content development and build including remediation efforts, enhancement and demand projects. The Project Manager also facilitates clinical governance meetings in collaboration with clinical counterparts. The Project Manager ensures that all clinical content is appropriately tracked in an inventory database. The Project Manager identifies and mitigates project risks to achieve successful project completion across Partners Healthcare System. The Project Manager assigns tasks and responsibilities to project team members and manages internal and external client expectations. Principal Duties and Responsibilities • Manages the process for content development, standardization, coordination, maintenance and archiving for Partners eCare. • Project management coordination responsibilities for clinical informatics including clinical content disciplines, informatics, biomedical device integration and PHS programs. • Manages and coordinates gathering and synthesis of current clinical content and the development of new clinical content. • Manages content development and helps to inform build activities between and among Partners eCare and other Partners work groups. • Leads assigned work groups and facilitates interactions and communication to arrive at solutions for content development and management. • Provides coordination and direction to complete the assigned clinical content tasks, produce the required deliverables, track and resolve issues, and meet the relevant Partners eCare project milestones according to the established timeline. • Takes responsibility for the success of the clinical content activities for Partners eCare. • Develops, owns and manages project plans for multiple content teams simultaneously. • Collaborates with the Clinical Informatics Team and Committee, and the Clinical Implementation Project Directors and Application Managers, as well as clinicians and operational leaders from across Partners Healthcare System. • Develops an inventory database management system for documenting and tracking clinical content. • Manages project issues and identifies risks and mitigation strategies using strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Reports project status to the Clinical Informatics Program Manager/ Director's/ Chief Medical Information Officer • Other responsibilities as determined by the Clinical Informatics Program Manager/ Director's/ Chief Medical Information Officer. Qualifications • At least 5 years of project management experience • Experience with clinical care delivery across health disciplines and the care continuum • Experience with clinical content development and maintenance • Experience managing multiple concurrent large projects and project teams • Experience in meeting management, facilitation and presentation required • Bachelor's Degree Required Skills/Abilities/Competencies Required • Expert level knowledge of clinical operations and related business processes • Strong knowledge of clinical care processes across disciplines and across the care continuum • Expertise in program and project management • Excellent leadership and supervisory skills • Demonstrated ability to effectively develop, maintain, motivate, and manage relationships in a highly complex and changing environment • Ability to build consensus across teams, with staff and leadership • Ability to partner with and influence senior leaders • Excellent communication skills including strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills • Demonstrated ability to make tactical decisions • Demonstrated ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems • Excellent problem solving and organizational skills • Strong facilitation skills • Proficient with standard office technologies and software • Understanding of clinical information systems Working Conditions • General day hours with flexibility to meet the demands of the position • Standard business environment with frequent local travel between Partners Healthcare System sites • May require travel for external training EEO Statement Partners HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer & by embracing diverse skills, perspectives and ideas, we choose to lead.
