This position serves as the Electronics Shop staff lead in the Department of Chemistry. The Chemistry Electronics Shop provides consultation, design, construction, maintenance, and repair services for electronic instrumentation and laboratory and individual computers in support of the Department’s research and educational missions. This position is responsible for overseeing the shop’s workflow and for maintaining shop component billing records. This position also has responsibility for the design, construction, and maintenance of electronic equipment used for chemistry research, and for consulting with scientists concerning the applications of such equipment. Typical Duties and Responsibilities Supervision Received Under the supervision of the Director of Technical Services, this position is expected to perform primary duties with minimal supervision. Supervision Exercised This position serves as staff lead for the Electronics Shop. May supervise student workers.
