The Resource Development Officer is responsible for securing all earned and contributed revenue and in developing long-term relationships between the Orchestra and its patrons, donors, and larger community.  Specific responsibilities include:

Development

• Developing and implementing an annual development plan with timelines that is consistent with the HHSO’s strategic plan and establishes targets and financial budgets;
• Supervising individual and corporate Annual Fund efforts, including the fulfillment of benefits and recognition activities;
• Managing the prompt submission of all public and private grant applications, as well as the fulfillment of all award obligations, including required reports;
• Participating in the development of the annual operating budget as it relates to contributed revenue and development expenses; and
• Staffing the Resource Development Committee.

Marketing

• Developing and implementing an annual marketing plan with timelines that is consistent with the HHSO’s strategic plan and establishes targets and financial budgets;
• Overseeing all promotional activities and materials related to specific HHSO offerings, including Education and Community Engagement activities, as well as general HHSO awareness, conforming to consistent, high-quality presentation and current style guide specifications;
• Participating in the development of the annual operating budget as it relates to earned revenue and marketing expenses; and
• Staffing the Marketing Committee.

General

• Serving with the President and Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer as a member of the administrative leadership team;
• Responsibly representing the HHSO in private and public settings;
• Supervising the Patron Relations Manager;
• Serving as the primary staff liaison for the HHSO volunteer League and usher corps; and
• Performing other duties as assigned.
