An established, privately held exploration and production company is seeking an experienced Land Manager to play an instrumental role in its ongoing E&P activities.

The Land Manager position requires a self-reliant individual with a broad-based knowledge of the oil & gas industry who can both see the big picture and deal in the details. This position is responsible for running the company’s day-to-day land related matters as well as managing additional special projects as required.

Role: Land Manager

Location: Fort Worth, Texas

Day-to-Day: 

• Coordinate and collaborate closely with various departments in support of company goals and operations
• Ensure that all company land-related obligations are satisfied
• Serve as company liaison with land and mineral owners
• Create and maintain the company’s asset database ensuring accurate tracking of net mineral acres leased, net mineral acres HBP, net mineral acres and net royalty acres owned, lease obligations, net revenue interest, etc.
• Oversee the communication and facilitate the flow of information between the Land Department and other departments (operations, legal, finance, etc.)
• Direct all leasehold and mineral acquisition/title research efforts by brokers and field landmen
• Negotiate, analyze, draft, and acquire land related contracts
• Carry out land and revenue distribution accounting/finance matters
• Execute on special projects as they arise
• Manage and coordinate company’s regulatory requirements
• Carry out business development efforts for the identification and evaluation of leasehold, surface, and mineral interest opportunities
