Job Type/Schedule: This position is full-time and works approximately 40 hours per week. This position is time-limited. Funding is currently committed up to 6/30/22; continued funding will be requested as the project progresses. Essential Functions: POSITION SUMMARY: The Instructional Designer reports to the Director of Data Governance in the Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor for Administration in support of the MyDay Project.� This position will be responsible for the design and development of the training needed to support the implementation of the Data Governance and Stewardship Program and MyDay, a complex program designed to improve WashU’s operational excellence and ability to make insight-driven decisions. MyDay is an exciting, once-in-a-generation effort to replace the university’s core administrative IT systems (human resource, finance, and student) and improve associated business processes. The effort will replace these systems with a single system (Workday) that will integrate the university’s core administrative data in the cloud. The instructional designer, who will work as part of a team of communications, training, and change management professionals, plays a central, hands-on role in ensuring MyDay program achieves its vision and goals.� This is a time-limited position through the life of the MyDay Student Project, which is scheduled to go live during the 2024-2025 Academic Year.� PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in instructional technology, business, english, communications, education, or a related field, and a minimum of two years of experience applying instructional design methods and theories, developing training curricula, and user documentation; or an equivalent combination of experience, certification, and education. Salary Range: The hiring range for this position is $56,472 - $73,403 annually.
