The Village School of Naples is now accepting resumes for a dynamic Accounting Manager who is self-motivated, has high attention to detail, a positive attitude and excellent work ethic. The ideal candidate has exceptional time management and organization skills and is able to balance progress on strategic projects with day to day accounting responsibilities. The candidate should have demonstrated success identifying and implementing operational improvements. This is a full time, year-round position and requires 40 hours a week.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure an accurate and timely quarterly and year end close. Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information. Ensure the accurate and timely processing of monthly student billing. Ensure the monthly Bank Compliance activities are performed in a timely and accurate manner.
• Coordinates the annual independent audit.
• Files reports necessary to comply with State law and Federal regulations.
• Maintains the fixed asset inventory system by maintaining pertinent records and ensuring adequate treatment of fixed asset acquisitions and retirements.
• Performs special accounting studies.
• Ensures the accuracy of data and adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Audits departmental accounting data, identifies and corrects errors, identifies and computes accruals, applies accounting principles to transactions and recommends revisions in accounting procedures to ensure conformance with applicable statues and General Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Designs internal control systems to ensure the safeguarding of TVS assets.
• Experience with processing payroll using a payroll service.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
• Assist the CFO/COO in the annual budgeting process.
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• Provides accounting assistance to CFO and works on additional projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field required. Master preferred.
• Five or more years of experience in business operations and/or accounting and/or business analysis, required.
• Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control principles.
• Experience working with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Knowledge of financial and accounting software applications.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• High level of flexibility, agility and responsiveness in negotiating the needs of the various constituencies of the School and representatives from other organizations.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive information and issues.
• Must be able to articulate their faith and support the school’s Christian environment.
• Physically, the position of accounting manager requires sitting, walking, standing, and ability to lift up to 10 lbs. without assistance.
