In collaboration with the UCI Health and SOM Leadership, active participation in managing the Community Primary Care services physician recruitment and onboarding, marketing and business development, quality metrics and clinical goal achievement, and patient care delivery. Under the direction of the UCI Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs and the Executive Director for Clinical Operations, UCI School of Medicine, this position will serve as the Primary Care Administrator for the UCI Community Primary Care Physician Medical Group. In this role, the potential candidate and will work in collaboration with the UCI Community Primary Care Medical Director, and assist with advancing the various initiatives of the UCI Community Primary Care Physician Workforce. Incumbent will assist in optimal daily physician clinical operations; assist in physician and provider recruitment and onboarding in collaboration with various UCI entities; manage physician and provider schedules; manage payroll and related human resource matters for over 20 Physicians, 1 Nurse Practitioner and with plans for continued growth; annual preparation and financial management of about a $7M budget; assist in the facilitation of outstanding primary care services as measured by metrics of quality of care, patient satisfaction and financial performance, and provide direction, assistance or support of initiatives regarding UCI strategic goals as they relate to the delivery and growth of primary care services at UCI. Compensation Range: Monthly: $5,825.00 - $8,866.67 Department Website: Required: Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training. Advanced knowledge of University rules and regulations, processes, protocols and procedures for budget, accounting and fund management, and / or personnel management. Ability to establish, interact and maintain an effective working relationship with not only physicians, but the associated UCI Faculty, staff, School of Medicine UCI Health administrative leaders, support functions and departments. Demonstrated skill in the management of physician resources, clinical space utilization, and financial resources through development of physician operational plans and appropriate financial and utilization analysis. Correspondence, which are clear, concise, logical and appropriate for the audience. Demonstrated software skills to develop and utilize various analytic and reporting tools relative to physician utilization, clinical quality metrics and patient satisfaction. Assist the Medical Director in the analysis and implementation of projects to maximize metrics of clinical quality, billing proficiency, clinical coding proficiency, patient satisfaction and cost of care. Advanced skills in short- and long-term strategic planning, analysis, problem-solving and customer service. Advanced knowledge of financial analysis and reporting techniques, and / or human resources policies and procedures for staff and academic employees. Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact favorably and collaboratively with all stakeholders, whether they be UCI Physicians, staff, administrators, support personnel or patients. Knowledge of payroll functionality, applicable financial analysis and other payroll related functionality. Possess skills in computer-based tools such as spreadsheets analysis and database management. A familiarity with EPIC Systems EHR and EPIC reporting functionality is desirable Preferred: Final candidate subject to background check.
