The Kaplan Institute is the Innovation and Entrepreneurship hub at Illinois Tech. Our vision is to have every student graduate with an entrepreneurial mindset and, if they have the appetite, experience entrepreneurship. The Kaplan Institute (KI) is in search of a highly motivated and organized individual who is passionate about supporting student-led startups from idea generation through venture launch. The Network Manager will join the Kaplan Institute to recruit and manage relationships with a pool of mentors for our student-led startups. The Network Manager is, above all, a Connector. The Network Manager's primary responsibility is to connect members to the resources they need to advance their startups. The Network Manager will familiarize him or herself with the needs of the startups and take the initiative to identify the right content or subject matter experts and connect the resources with the Kaplan Institute's members. To be effective, the network manager must develop and nurture relationships with key people in the industry and the entrepreneurial community. The Network Manager will also build relationships with Kaplan members and track their needs to effectively address them through the connections he/she makes with mentors. The Network Manager will also be responsible for reporting outcomes tied to the Kaplan Institute's ability to accelerate business development for our student members through interactions with mentors and subject matter experts. This position requires high attention to detail and extremely high written and oral communication skills.
