PWM Margin Lending sits within the Consumer and Wealth Management Division (CWM) and manages PWM clients' margin relationships for the firm. The team's primary responsibility is to monitor clients' margin loans and ensure there is sufficient collateral within the portfolio to collateralize their margin debit. The team also owns and manages a variety of processes that focus on mitigating risks and creating commercial impact, including leading key enhancement initiatives to further automate manual processes and build offerings that will drive increased revenue for the division.

YOUR IMPACT
Our PWM Margin Lending team is seeking a professional who is looking to create impact by analyzing our client margin portfolios and issuing calls across a variety of PWM client accounts. In addition, we are looking for a strong performer who can leverage existing technical skills to grow and develop a robust understanding of complex margin methodologies and workflows to further enhance our existing infrastructure.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
The PWM Margin Lending team supports a broad array of margin functions within the PWM business. The team is responsible for monitoring that clients remain within exposure limits and ensuring that actions are taken to bring the client's account back within their limit (i.e. issuance of margin calls, monitoring of client activity to meet any issued margin calls, general impact of client trading activity, etc). The primary job responsibility is validating and ensuring all margin calls are issued on a timely basis and working closely with Business Partners to ensure all calls are met in a timely manner. There are also regulatory reporting obligations that are performed by the team daily, across businesses. The team also manages several manual processes that provide client's bespoke margin treatment on structured products, guarantee/guarantor set-ups, and override coding approved by GCF/Risk/Credit.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with 8-10 years of professional experience (financial markets), preferably across equities, fixed income, and OTC derivative products.
  • Work experience in financial services required
  • Margin and collateral experience would be an added advantage
  • Proven ability to effectively manage competing priorities and to work well under pressure in a team environment
  • High level of discretion and awareness of accountability
  • Analytical skills and interest in developing problem-solving capabilities
  • Positive attitude and eagerness to learn
  • Strong team player, collaborates with others within and across teams, encourages other team members to participate and contribute and acknowledges the contributions of others.
