Prevention Program Manager US-NJ-Princeton Job ID: 2020-12124 Type: Full-Time # of Openings: 1 Category: Health Services Princeton University Overview SHARE's purpose is to lead and support campus efforts to address interpersonal violence. The Office provides trauma-sensitive emergency response, intervention, and care to student survivors of sexual harassment, sexual assault, domestic/dating violence, and stalking. SHARE also works closely with a network of campus and community partners to foster a University environment that is intolerant of abuse, responsive to needs of survivors, and holds perpetrators accountable for their actions. We aim to contribute to a campus culture in which interpersonal violence has no place and our distinctive community of learning is free to flourish.
The Prevention Programs Manager (Manager) responsibilities fall into two overarching areas: 1) the provision of clinical and support services for student-survivors, through crises management, short-term counseling, and victim advocacy, and 2) the day-to-day management of men’s engagement initiatives. Men’s engagement efforts are a key component of the SHARE violence prevention framework and will include, but and are not limited to: 1) developing and implementing initiatives that facilitate critical exploration of masculinities and their intersections with gender, race, class, sexuality and more; 2) deepening the community's understanding of interpersonal violence and reducing behaviors that lead to harm 3) partnering or collaborating with campus and external stakeholders to support students and build upon the best practices to engage men in violence prevention and wellbeing.
