A large, London Market insurance broker is looking at a technically competent and driven accountant to join the team. Reporting in to the Chief Accounting Officer, this role has as its key responsibilities managing the production of all external financial reporting (with a focus on the Group and individual entity audited financial statements), together with the Group monthly consolidation process. It involves managing the two person Group reporting team, and provision of expert technical accounting advice and guidance to the rest of the wider Finance team.
Managing production of annual financial statements for the Group and all group entities.
Principal liaison point for external auditors; responsible for managing relationship with and supervising delivery to external audit field team.
Production of monthly consolidation and external reporting pack.
Production of Finance reports for ancillary subsidiary Board packs.
Liaison with Group Tax Manager to assist with compliance and Tax planning.
Management of External Reporting team.
Advising wider Finance team on technical accounting matters and production of technical papers.
For this role you will ideally be a chartered accountant with post qualified experience gained in the financial services industry, with a strong preference for those from an insurance broker. You will need to have the gravitas to manage and mentor a team as well as being willing to be hands on.
salary of £60 - 70k plus package depending on experience
