Vanderbilt University is seeking an Information Technology Security Operations Analyst to join our Security Operations team. Responsibilities of the role include providing the support needed for effective and efficient day-to-day IT operations of core business applications. This role is responsible for supporting and troubleshooting IT systems to determine the cause of failures. This role will work to ensure IT services provided align with the needs of the business and ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) practices. The Information Operations Analyst must possess strong organizational skills, the ability to deal with multiple stakeholders, the ability to plan and schedule tasks, and prioritize requests for support from customers. Experience with Active Directory is a significant plus.

VUIT is the veins of the University managing the infrastructure and information security of the institution. Security Operations is the enforcing body of threat analysis, cyber-attacks, and policy implementation for the institution. The security operation team is a highly skilled, close-knit group on the cutting edge of new security technologies.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Actively participates and responds to the daily coordination and remediation of incidents and trouble tickets in the organization according to the defined SLA.
• Participates in an on-call rotation for information security and resolve service outages within SLA.
• Possess advanced analytical skills and the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information, with attention to detail and accuracy
• Manage, maintain, and document Active Directory integrations, Active Directory Organizational Units (OUs), Group Policy Objects (GPOs), Groups, Sites and Services, Network and Authentication protocols, Domains, Forest and Domain modes, Schema Administration, LDAP Queries, Disaster Recovery design, and implementation, and cross-forest administration
• Follow established guidelines for system change control.
• Resolve IT issues across a wide range of technologies and applications
• Analyze and provide a solution to low complexity and routine issues
• Oversee the Incident, Problem, and Change management processes
• Identify incident trends; recommend and implement improvements to reduce the volume
• Collaborate with the project teams to review or inspect work to guarantee their quality.
• Ensure supportability and quality is maintained with the introduction of production changes
• Ability to multitask and effectively work with dispersed technical teams, including outsourced vendors.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of Active Directory design and domain migration or consolidation experience, including SID History concepts.
• Minimum 3 years of Windows Server Operating System experience
• Minimum 3 years of LDAP design and migration or consolidation experience.
• Minimum 3 years of scripting skills in PowerShell
