FINANCIAL COORDINATOR , Sloan School of Management-Finance Team , to serve as the primary face of finance to all staff across Sloan who process transactions and reconcile accounts. Essential functions will include financial operations, financial training, financial systems support and communications, and financial accounting and reporting. Will be responsible for developing and leading monthly and quarterly training sessions and managing communications community outreach; the execution and reporting of quarterly activities for assigned units; managing all ad hoc revenues, requiring coordinating with central MIT offices including the Office of the Vice President for Finance; and critically evaluating business and financial processes across Sloan and working to streamline and simplify those processes when possible. Will also be expected to provide insight and expertise to the finance team for the school's financial transaction needs and to serve as a liaison to that community of 150+ employees of administrative assistants and coordinators. Job Requirements REQUIRED : bachelor's degree; at least two years of relevant financial management experience; experience in academic programs and administration; a service-orientation; ability to perform hands-on work in a team-based work group with complex needs and varying levels of experience; strong financial systems experience; excellent computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and SAP; discretion and judgment with confidential information; excellent organizational, interpersonal, analytic, and communication skills; attention to detail; flexibility; and ability to multitask and prioritize business needs, manage numerous projects with varying degrees of complexity, and identify and recommend solutions to complex problems.
