Essential Functions

• Oversee all Accounts Receivable and cash receipt functions.   
• Oversee all Accounts Payable and payment functions.
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements for for-profit McClure; gather data for annual tax return.
• Oversee all payroll processes and procedures. 
• Supervise staff accountant and AP/AR/CR staff.      

Additional Responsibilities

Purdue Research Foundation

• Prepare miscellaneous journal entries.
• Review and post all Accounts Receivable, cash receipt batches, and Accounts Payable.
• Calculate and post interest on Notes Receivable accounts.
• Assist with annual budgeting.
• Review assigned general ledger accounts on monthly basis and make corrections, as necessary.
• Assist with annual audit.
• Serve as back up for check writing for all entities.

McClure Development and McClure Services

• Calculate interest on monthly and quarterly basis for various loans.
• Prepare journal entries.
• Reviews bank statement reconciliation.
• Review and post all Accounts Receivable, cash receipt batches, and Accounts Payable.
• Record activity from K1’s and monthly financial statements for partnerships.
• Assist with budgeting.
• Assist with annual audit.
• Generate and analyze monthly financials.

Payroll

• Oversees bi-weekly payroll processing.
• Provide backup payroll functions; supervise payroll staff.
• Quarterly tax filings.
• Annual W-2s.
• Manage payroll processing and procedures; assist with various payroll tasks.

Other duties as assigned.

 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of payroll tax, tax, financial reporting and debt management.          
• High level skills with MS Excel required.
• Skills with MS Office.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Demonstrated ability to handle frequent interruptions, prioritize tasks and give close attention to details while meeting deadlines with accurate results.
• Must make sound judgments and be comfortable and professional interacting with a diverse group of individuals both internal and external to the Foundation.
• Regular and reliable attendance are requirements of this position.

 Education/Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. 
• CPA preferred.
• Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in accounting.
