UWM FINANCE TRANSFORMATION is seeking a a Limited Term Appointment - DATA CONVERSION LEAD to play a key role in the implementation of an enterprise-wide Finance and Supply Chain system, and the modernization of related business processes. The UW Finance Transformation Program (UWFT) is a $270M initiative to transform the University’s financial systems and processes, including academic, administrative, and healthcare. The IT scope of UWFT includes replacement of legacy core financial systems with a SaaS solution (Workday) and rationalization of distributed financial systems, reporting, and integrations across hundreds of units. UWFT will fundamentally change the processes and tools that the University employs to track, spend, collect, manage, and report University finances in excess of $7B in annual revenues, resulting in more timely and actionable information for leadership. The Data Conversion Lead will have responsibility for supervising project staff and coordinating the activities of vendor and consulting team members. This role will manage the technical activities of the project within the Data Conversion Team, to achieve the project's scope, quality and business objectives, within predefined schedule and budget constraints. The Data Conversion lead will also be responsible for setting the strategy and plan in partnership with University to convert the necessary data to support business operations in the new system. The converted data resides in multiple systems and will require significant coordination and testing both within UW Medicine and across the University. Leveraging prior experience, the data conversion lead will minimize impact to finance and account operations and technical staff during this critical transition. DUTIES: This role will lead the organization in preparing for and executing the various data loads that will be required as part of the various phases of the implementation project. This includes: Data Conversion Process Design and Management Team Leadership and Facilitation Communication and Project Management REQUIREMENTS : Equivalent experience and education may substitute for requirements.
