Assistant or Associate Teaching Professor of Accounting

Position DescriptionTHE UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON MICHAEL G. FOSTER SCHOOL OF BUSINESS Recruiting for a full-time Assistant or Associate Teaching Professor of Accounting The Accounting Department at the Michael G. Foster School of Business, University of Washington, is recruiting to hire one full-time, non-tenure eligible position as Assistant or Associate Teaching Professor with an anticipated start date in September 2021. Teaching faculty have a service period of nine months (9/16-6/15) and are eligible for renewal. All University of Washington teaching faculty engage in teaching and service. This position will also serve as the faculty director of the Master of Professional Accounting (MPAcc) program. The faculty director of the MPAcc Program is expected to lead the strategic direction of the MPAcc program, maintain and develop leading-edge curriculum, develop relationships with alumni and professionals in the local community, manage faculty teaching in the MPAcc, chair MPAcc related committees, and manage the MPAcc program staff. In addition, as part of their teaching portfolio this position is expected to teach at least one highly specialized graduate course in the MPAcc which integrates data analytics with advanced accounting subject matter. For appointment to the Associate Teaching Professor rank, applicants must have a PhD (or foreign equivalent) in Accounting, and a minimum of one year teaching experience at the postsecondary level.
