Project Coordinator, Sustainability Emphasis/Junior Research Scientist

NYU School of Global Public Health (GPH) (http://publichealth.nyu.edu/) is seeking applications for a full-time Project Coordinator. We are looking for a candidate with a Master's degree, and strong background in one or more of the following areas: Tobacco Dependence Treatment, health communications, practice transformation, and project management. The candidate will work with staff and faculty members of the New York City Treats Tobacco (NYCTT) program team, under the direction of Dr. Donna Shelley, a Professor of Global Public Health at GPH.
The candidate will work on the School's New York State Department of Health, Bureau of Tobacco Control funded award focusing on adopting the evidence-based best practices for treating tobacco use and dependence by implementing health system change strategies in medical and mental healthcare organizations that serve disparate populations. The candidate will assist in implementing the Public Health Service Guidelines for tobacco use and dependence treatment through quality improvement strategies which includes; updating the electronic health record (EHR) to ensure proper documentation, standardizing audit and feedback systems, and implementing, adopting, and disseminating policies and procedures system-wide that improve tobacco dependence treatment.
