![]() Research Analyst 2 (Contracts and Grants) - SOM: Internal Medicine HEM/ONC- Sacramento Campus Department Description The Division of Hematology and Oncology is one of 10 divisions within the Department of Internal Medicine. We have over 40 faculty (clinicians and researchers), 10 clinical fellows, a research fellow, 2 staff physicians and over 60 staff. We currently have over 28 million in active grant awards, plus over 30 million in clinical trial awards, with over 7 million in grant expenditures annually. THIS IS NOT AN H1- B OPPORTUNITY Responsibilities The Research Administrator 2 plays an integral role in the division as a contracts and grants analyst providing expert and comprehensive financial, analytical and administrative oversight. Prepares fiscal and statistical data, short and long-term projections and all phases of cost recovery analysis. The analyst works with many departments, UCD offices, federal and state sponsors and many other institutions in the administration of our multi-disciplinary research program. Provides expertise to support and submit pre-award proposals and conduct post award activities including forecasting, budgeting and reconciliations for grants and in support of clinical trials. Also assists the division leadership in providing financial analysis, forecasting, cost accounting and analytical support with budgeting or other business plans in the division. Required Qualifications
Work to complete RACS (Research Administration Certification Series) instruction within 18 months of hire.This position may be subject to a criminal background investigation, drug screen, Live Scan fingerprinting, medical evaluation clearance, and functional capacity assessment.
