Providing high-level leadership and management of the human resources operations for the Association. The Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County (CCE-SC) Human Resources Chief Diversity Officer (HRCDO) Officer leads the development and implementation of proactive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives supporting the Association's strategic plan to create a strategic plan a learning and working environment where all have an opportunity to succeed. The position champions the importance and value of a diverse and inclusive college environment and leads the development of a vision and effective strategy to create a culture for equity, diversity, and inclusion. Furthermore, develops and maintains effective working relationships among CCE-SC staff. This position works in conjunction with Extension Administration Human Resources and other HR Managers from across New York State to lead the human resources operation locally, regionally, and statewide to its optimal state. The CCE-SC HRCDO exercises professional judgment, discretion, and confidentiality in leading the HR operations. Facilitates successful policy/procedure changes driven by compliance requirement or local/regional/statewide need. Provides leadership to implement system-wide initiatives and remain consistent with Extension Administration guidance. The CCE-SC HRCDO is responsible for overseeing all human resources operations of the CCE-SC. The Human Resources Chief Diversity Officer is an executive leader responsible for designing and implementing CCE of Suffolk's diversity and inclusion strategy.
