UW Medicine has an outstanding opportunity for a EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT, SENIOR MANAGEMENT, PROCESS IMPROVEMENT & STRATEGY.  This individual will serve as a resource to manage all work efforts, coordinate department activities, and drive the creation of documentation and deliverables.  The Senior Management Analyst and Executive Assistant will play a critical role in maximizing the efficiency and effectiveness of leaders in the Office of the President and their Executive Team members that this individual supports.   Assumes responsibility for a wide-range of complex and confidential administrative and operational tasks, frequently communicating with a variety of internal and external constituencies. Must be able to anticipate requests; provide fast, accurate, and thoughtful replies to requests, following up on action items on behalf of the executive as appropriate. This individual will exercise good judgment, a professional demeanor, and take the appropriate initiative and discretion within the scope of the position. Manage projects, both large and medium in scale, acting with the delegated authority of the executive leader to ensure completion of objectives in a timely fashion. Demonstrate high ethical standards and personal integrity, strategic, yet detail-oriented thinking, resourceful and results-oriented mindset, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

    • REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
  • 6-8 years of progressively responsible experience in a fast-paced, multi-faceted administrative operations role with competing priorities and responsibilities, including at least two years of experience as an executive administrative assistant for a senior executive of a large complex organization (health system highly preferred).
  • Demonstrated competencies using PC, laptop, printer, scanner, LCD projector, conference phone.
  • Demonstrated competencies with MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook.
  • Ability to practice effective organizational skills so that workload is prioritized and deadlines are met.
  • Skilled in planning, setting, and managing multiple priorities. Demonstrated ability to balance multiple projects and priorities at one time and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to assume a leadership role in the development of office efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and streamline timely communication flow.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate meeting schedules and calendars efficiently.
  • Track record of facilitating professional and courteous customer service to a broad range of clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain and improve knowledge and skills related to operations of the office, use of equipment, and technology.
  • Tactful in summarizing data and information in both written and verbal form.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for stated requirements.


    • DESIRED:

  • Experience with budget process.
  • Experience with data analysis.
  • Experience with MS SharePoint as a content developer and editor.
  • Formal training in process improvement, project management, lean methodology preferred.
