The OHSU Clinical registered nurse (RN) provides compassionate, evidence-based, and efficient care to individuals, families, communities and patient populations. Hiring Bonus and Relocation Package Available As an RN with Clinical Transplant Services, you are integral to our team. Providing direct and indirect care for our patients, you are also a liaison between the patients and Liver Transplant Team. Bring your skills and expertise to a new level with OHSU. Join us! Our transplant team consists of physicians, social worker, financial counselor, psychiatrists, etc.) Once the patient is transplanted, the RN is responsible for the post-transplant call-in follow-up, attending discharge rounds, transplant specific discharge education, and coordinating discharge needs with the interdisciplinary team. After discharge, the RN is responsible for patient follow-up including clinic visits, diagnostic procedures, laboratory tests, biopsies, medication regimen and education accomplished through frequent contact with the patients and families, the physicians, and other team members. The RN assesses patient and family needs, develops a plan of care, implements and evaluates the care delivered, working closely with all members of the interdisciplinary team. The RN provides pre-transplant cross coverage for essential functions. The RN provides after hours on-call coverage including responding to after-hours emergency calls from candidates and recipients, coordinating work-ups for transplant, coordinating admissions for transplant, and providing care as ordered by the LIPs. The RN is expected to practice in accordance with professional standards, core values, and with a commitment to service excellence.
