Scheduled Hours37.5Position SummaryThe multidisciplinary Digital Communications team at WashU is seeking a Senior Interactive Web Designer with a passion for creative problem solving and user-centered design. This designer will work in partnership with our Digital Creative Director and team to create engaging web experiences that align with university brand guidelines and utilize the latest trends in interactive and responsive web design.Our Digital Communications team is responsible for the digital side of marketing and communications. We design, build, and maintain the primary public-facing university websites including https://wustl.edu/, https://source.wustl.edu/, https://alumni.wustl.edu/, https://giving.wustl.edu, and https://admissions.wustl.edu/. Specializing in WordPress, we created and continue to maintain the universityâ™s self-publishing website service called WashU Sites. Additionally, we apply WashU brand standards and best practices to email, online search, and the university calendar, among others. Over the past four years, weâ™ve been evolving our portfolio to serve our audiences in more effective and compelling ways. Our success has opened doors to new and exciting ventures across WashU. Designs user-centered, interactive, responsive web designs
Creates documentation and resources (templates, UI kits, etc.) that empowers others to implement and extend design systems. Optimizes user experiences through research, testing, and staying up to date on best practices. Performs other tasks as requested.
