Position Category: Faculty Position Status: 10 Month Advertised Salary: $62,186 General Description: Niagara County Community College is seeking a Full-time, (tenure track) Nursing Assistant Professor in our Nursing, Physical & Allied Health division. The incumbent will be responsible for teaching Adult Medical Surgical, Maternity and Pediatrics content in classroom, clinical, and lab settings as needed in the College's Associate Degree Nursing (RN) program. This position will also be responsible for student advisement, and participation in divisional and college activities. Assignments are typically during the day but may be during evening or weekend hours. The start date of this position will be August 25, 2022 for the beginning of the Fall 2022 Semester. The successful candidate will be required to work only 162 days per year from and will be provided with a winter break from mid-December to early January, a Spring Break for one week in March and will work until mid-May when the Spring Semester ends (not required to work in June, July and most of August). The base salary is $62,186 per year which equates to $54.84 per hour given the 162-day professional obligation of the position. In addition to the base salary there are many ways to increase the salary further by teaching overload, teaching summer courses, doing special assignments etc. The average salary in this position with overloads and other assignments is $67,300. Since this position is tenure track there is a pathway for promotion to higher level salaries of Associate Professor and Professor.
