This leader is expected to divide their time between administrative leadership, teaching at the UME and GME levels, research, and active practice, as well as establish a strong vision for the department which is in concert with and supportive of the mission of BSOM and WSU. Required Qualifications::
Associate Professor level candidates must fulfill all the requirements above, along with at least 5 years' experience as an Assistant Professor with an exemplary scholarly portfolio and supervisory experience. Full Professor candidates must fulfill all the requirements of Associate Professor along with at least 5 years' experience at the Associate Professor level with an exemplary scholarly portfolio and leadership experience. Essential Functions and percent of time:: 50% Administrative Leadership of the Department of Family Medicine 15% Oversee residency/fellowship programs of BSOM Ensure maintenance of high quality education and maintenance of ACGME accreditation standards 15% Oversee quality of undergraduate medical education program in family medicine Ensure learning environment and faculty quality consistent with LCME accreditation standards 20% Clinical care Working Conditions:: Works in both hospital and office settings.
