Become part of our team, and join our mission to make life healthier for everyone in our community. UW MEDICINE FINANCE TRANSFORMATION has an exciting limited term project appointment opportunity. The FINANCE BUSINESS SYSTEMS INTEGRATIONS DEVELOPER - UW MEDICINE will be the primary developer for the Finance Business Systems (FBS) owned integrations to/from Workday, leveraging MuleSoft (UW Medicine Interoperability Platform). The developer will work closely with FBS team members, FBS management, project managers, UWM ITS staff, and UWFT team members to understand the context of the development work that needs to occur and to familiarize themselves with the environment, the tools, the existing integrations, the supported business processes and the data that is being passed between systems. This person will be a key player in the success of UW Medicine to convert to Workday financials from the existing ERP instances. The migration from multiple ERP systems to a single modern integrated ERP system combined with defining and executing large scale change to achieve the University’s transformation and efficiency goals is a large and complex initiative. Execution of the UWFT program will require UW Medicine’s accounting, finance, and supply chain staff, management, and leadership to manage both a high level of change while continuing to meet the operational needs of UW’s nationally recognized clinical and research healthcare facilities. The UW has an existing Workday platform, utilizing the HCM/Payroll/Benefits modules. This includes a backend infrastructure around security, access, and report development. The UWFT program will be responsible for implementing new financial modules that need to be integrated into the existing platform and will also need to include significant new functionality for finance. The new modules are scheduled to go live on July 1, 2023. The UW Finance Transformation Program (UWFT) is an initiative to transform the University’s financial systems and processes, including academic, administrative, and healthcare. The IT scope of UWFT includes replacement of legacy core financial systems with a SaaS solution (Workday) and rationalization of distributed financial systems, reporting, and integrations across hundreds of units. UWFT will fundamentally change the processes and tools that the University employs to track, spend, collect, manage, and report University finances in excess of $7B in annual revenues, resulting in more timely and actionable information for leadership. Among the UW’s highest administrative priorities, this multi-year initiative is one of the largest finance system programs in Washington State and the outcome of the program will be highly visible at all levels of the University, the State, and nationally in higher education.
