Position Summary:
Manages administration and operational functions of University Conference Services
Essential Functions:
Oversees the daily operations of the Conference Services office.
Prepares conference services contracts, including event logistics and services and insurance requirements. Tracks conference services revenue against budgets. Interact with clients on contract issues.
Acts as Hotel Liaison for the University, negotiating and overseeing corporate hotel rates and reservations for individual and groups stays for University guests and large conference groups. Conduct site visits with hotels and other venues for lodging or events. Generates direct bill letters to hotels for University-funded business stays.
Serves as conference coordinator, conducting campus tours, supporting conference logistics and assisting clients during conferences at Fordham. Collects post event feedback and develops reports to Director.
Provides support and liaison to external corporate and nonprofit entities for meetings and events.
Performs other duties as assigned may be required to work variable and weekend schedule to support conference needs.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Excellent knowledge of MS Office suite.
Basic contract management experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum of four (4) years of experience in conference services or similar environment.
